Overcome Your FEAR Factor

How to overcome your fear in 300 words or less-

Emphasis on the or less- i don't believe it takes 300 words when one can come up with a simple way to alleviate fear (real or imagined).

For whatever reason last week, the word "fear "popped into my head and I felt compelled to overcome my fear(s)

Have you ever had to do that?
How do you overcome your fears?

As Tony Robbins would say, "Break the pattern!" and I think he would say it with more passion and use his power move.

And change the way, really-change-the-way you see the word?

  • FEAR
  • "fear"
  • Fear
  • F.E.A.R.

And...turn it into an acronym

Everyone likes acronyms.
Right?

Focused

I had to use another acronym to describe this acronym-

Follow One Course Until Successful

Effort
What better way to describe effort than use a quote or two or three.

All the so-called "secrets of success" will not work unless you do ~Unknown

"I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end" ~Larry Bird

The difference between try and triumph is a little umph.  ~Author Unknown

Achieves
Everyone loves this word: achieve (achieved) achiev·ing

Definition of ACHIEVE

transitive verb

1: to carry out successfully : accomplish <achieve a gradual increase in production>

2: to get or attain as the result of exertion : reach <achieved a high degree of skill> <achieved greatness>

intransitive verb

: to attain a desired end or aim : become successful

Results

A result (also called upshot) is the final consequence of a sequence of actions or events expressed qualitatively or quantitatively. Whew!!

Possible results include advantage, disadvantage, gain, injury, loss, value and victory. There may be a range of possible outcomes associated with an event depending on the point of view, distance or relevance. Reaching no result can mean that actions are inefficient, ineffective, meaningless or flawed. (Wikipedia definition)

SO... how do you do overcome fear?

How could you have time to be fearful?

If you think about these things above on a regular basis-

Stay focused, apply some effort, "get or attain something as the result of that effort", and remember, there are no failures, only results.

Focused-Effort-Achieves-Results. Keep it in your head...but change what it means.

How To Gain Presidential Influence

I did not say presidential favor...

In a previous post I quoted Theodore Roosevelt from his speech at the Sorbonne in Paris and now, I find myself reading (again) about persistence from this man:

Calvin_coolidge_30
This word popped into my head as I read Bob Burg's post about Standing In Our Own Way.

Persistence

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "Press On" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."

Calvin Coolidge, 30th President of the United States

What more can I say with presidential influence than what this man said about persistence?

Just keep going...and "Press On".

Good wishes to you and may you always keep a coin in your pocket.

An Email Lesson of the Day

Dear Friends-

Lesson learned...I may or may not be the first to click "reply all" on an email or send an email to everyone on my distribution list, but just take notice that it can happen to the best of us:

It was great to catch up with you--Hope you are doing well!

Thanks to all of my long lost friends who responded...and those who didn't, you are missed!
